In this SAP TechEd demo, we bring SAP’s developer experience together in one place – VS Code and SAP Business Application Studio – so you can work end-to-end across UI5, CAP, Fiori, ABAP, and HANA with a consistent, open-source IDE foundation. You’ll meet Cline, an AI coding assistant powered by SAP AI Core to keep prompts, data, and usage inside the SAP BTP trust boundary. The assistant plans, executes, and fixes tasks while staying compliant and governed for the enterprise. The star of the show is Model Context Protocol (MCP) support and SAP-delivered MCP servers (e.g., CAP, UI5, Fiori). Agents can consult authoritative documentation, understand your model, and perform actions—like generating a CAP service and a freestyle UI5 app—directly from VS Code. This aligns with SAP’s new agentic capabilities: Joule Studio for custom agents, open interoperability (A2A + MCP), and centralized monitoring so teams can build fast with guardrails.
